Tri Training Week 6

Triathletes,
 
Great work last week for our first outdoor bike! I hope that regardless of your experience level you found the distance and route challenging enough within the time frame we work in with the class. Everyone has made significant improvement in their ability to perform the strength training exercises. From the start of the tri program to this week your strength has surely increased which in turn has lead to increased performance in each of the three events.
 
For this week we’ll be meeting upstairs to complete an outdoor run (weather pending) first, followed by swim and the strength workout. The last point I wish to address is if you signed up for only one day a week (Tuesday) and are unable to make our session you are always able to join the Saturday 8am group to complete your one day a week workout. We always meet upstairs in the lobby at 8am as the child care opens up at 8 if that is something you happen to need. We have 4 weeks left to get you each prepared for this up coming tri season. Keep up all your hard work!

Hey Triathletes,
 
I hope you each had a great weekend and were able to find time in your schedule to  get a workout or two in since last weeks session. I hope that everyone found Mike’s information regarding cycling etiquette and set up beneficial and perhaps learned something new. Remember that he mentioned a free consultation for bike set up to you for FREE for being in the tri group, which is normally a $70 charge, if its something you might be interested in.
For this week we will be splitting the group in two since we’ll be returning to the pool, so please remember to bring your swim gear, also we will be running and continue with the strength training program. If the weather is nice we’ll plan on conducting the running portion outside.

Tri Training Week 3

Hello Triathletes,
 
I hope you each had a nice weekend and were able to enjoy some activity outside with nice weather we had. Excellent work last week! From what I’ve gathered everyone appreciated splitting up into two groups to offer more individualized attention during the workout along with the addition of Dan our aquatics manager to conduct the swimming portion. The Saturday group got to participate in an outdoor run for the running portion, so I will be incorporating outdoor training as weather permits for Tuesdays as well.
For this week the game plan is to work on swim and bike along with a strength training workout. We will meet again upstairs by the front desk to explain the workout for the day before we get started. With this workout we will not be splitting up the group so we can all finish out with the bike portion in the spin room at 7:30 following group ride.
